Demystify Professional Services Ltd are delighted to have met our key milestone of producing the first draft of the programme FBC. Together with the drafting of the FBC our SME’s also produced 7 annexes and various other documents to compliment the FBC.
The FBC was produced working closely with the Senior Responsible Officer (SRO), the programme team, funding sponsored bodies and various other stakeholder groups. This draft was presented at the ESMCP programme board and members were asked to submit their comments for the next iteration of the FBC.
The Home Office is leading a pan departmental, cross government programme to deliver the new Emergency Services Network (ESN) critical communications system. This will replace the current Airwave service used by the emergency services in Great Britain. The FBC is based on this change.
The FBC is complex and customers include the Police, Fire and Rescue, and Ambulance services as well as a range of other users stretching from local authorities and utility services to first responders like inshore rescue. There are potentially around 300,000 individuals who will depend on ESN, using handheld devices or operating equipment in 50,000 vehicles, 115 aircraft and 200 control rooms. Programme SRO (owner of FBC), Stephen Webb said. “the FBC is well documented and gives the opportunity for programme board members to provide comments on the case prior to any formal agreement by the programme board”.
